Iguana Hunt Charter

Captain Carlos can put you on the iguanas! Help put a dent in this invasive species humanely & legally.

Don't just book with anyone, book with a U.S.C.G licensed and insured Captain who has the knowledge and skill to take these beauties down the right way.

Our private Iguana Charters take place aboard a 19' center console bay boat. We use a .22 caliber air rifle with a scope as well as a noose to hunt the iguanas. This boat is powered by a 2021 Suzuki 150hp engine. The boat is equipped with Garmin Electronics and a Minn Kota trolling motor. This hunting/fishing charter service is very family oriented and welcomes all ages and groups. Our recommended minimum age to utilize our air rifles is 10 years old. However, it all depends on the child and their hunting experience.

This charter will give you the experiences and moments that you will never forget!

Commonly asked Questions & Answers:

-Do you eat them?

Yes, we call them "chicken of the tree". You can clean your harvest and fry them up. They are awesome on tacos. Iguanas can be cleaned for a tip. Captain Carlos will cut the legs & tails for you. He does not skin them.

-How do you hunt for them?

On a boat, with air rifles or a noose on a fishing pole. We kill every iguana humanely with our air rifles.

-Why do you hunt them?

They are an invasive species in South Florida and the population is out of control. They are causing damage to so many residents homes/yards.

-Do you need a license to hunt them?

No. "Like all nonnative reptile species, green iguanas are not protected in Florida except by anti-cruelty law and can be humanely killed on private property with landowner permission. This species can be captured and humanely killed year-round and without a permit or hunting license on 25 public lands in south Florida.” From FWC.com
